Today I've assembled a round up of some of the best kids' closets in blogland. Notice that the common theme among these lovely closets is that they aren't overflowing with clothes. Pretty organizing requires that you keep less stuff than you have room for.
Please click through to these blogs and leave a comment for the lovely ladies who've created these amazing kids closets!
Don't you just love that last one with the little reading nook in the bottom? My son would absolutely love his own little closet hideaway (minus the pink and sparkles!)
[This is day 13 (really, thirteen already!?) of a 31 day series called 31 Days to an Organized Home. Click here to see what it's all about and a listing of all the posts so far. Thanks for visiting!]
Oh and just a reminder: I'm hosting an Organizing Linky Party on October 27th
(that's two weeks from today) so that you can show off all your lovely organizing projects. So mark your calenders, tweet about it, and pin this little button I've made. I can't wait to see all your clever organizing solutions!
Thank you so much for this series! Yeserday I immediately ran up to my 3yo's dresser and refolded her PJs (and threw half of them away). I found some old wipes containers laying on the floor, ripped the lids off, and used them to put her socks, undies, and tights in- fit perfectly! Then I got so excited I started reorganzing and ripping apart my whole house! AAH! Thanks for the inspiration... thinking I might look at the closets today! :)
ReplyDeleteI probly won't be posting on your party myself, cause it's my son's birthday (that and my clean looks like neat people's messy, and I'm just trying to work my way up to my clean). :-) But I did share about your party on www.squidoo.com/blogevents and will come by afterwards for inspiration...please let me know about any future ones too.
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog and I love love love the organized home series you've got going! The sock idea is pure genius. I'm totally going to do that... someday, when we have money again. UGH! I'm a new follower.
ReplyDeleteCome visit me when you get a chance sometime. ;)
I also recently found your blog and have read every post you have made and I love it. Please continue!
ReplyDeleteWow, so honored to be amongst other fabulous closets, thank you so much for the feature!
ReplyDeletexoxo,

Oh my goodness...I LOVE your blog. I'm following immediately! So glad I found you! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the pics (and your blog!) but I must say that when you have siblings sharing rooms/limited space like I have, there is NO way to have enough closet space to pull this off. :) I have four girls in one room, all sharing a closet that size! Just had to throw that out there. :)
ReplyDeleteim so happy i found ur blog!!!!! life saver...i have four young children...before i had ids and up to when i had 2 kids..i was considred neat freak or ocd psychowith organization..now my house can never stay clean and my days r full of chaos! n im sitting wondering what happened! lol
ReplyDeleteWe have a really small house, and not nearly enough closet space for toys, games, school supplies and clothes... and with 4 girls, clothes are in abundance. Solution? We hang EVERYTHING. We put the coated closet shelving with hanging rods in the laundry room and ALL the girls clothes go there. The pants, which rarely stay folded on top of the shelf will be going in labled bins per child this week, but dresses and shirts all hang up, there is a 3 drawer tupperware for socks, underwear and jammies on the side. It's perfect, it's in one place, at with the oldest girls 7 and 41/2, they're plenty old enough to put away their own things so out of the dryer, into the basket and next to their 'closet' it goes for them to put away. My next closet organizing venture is throwing out all the socks, and buying one kind for all the girls. They all share clothes anyway.
ReplyDeleteand obviously this is installed on their level so it's easy for them to reach to put things away, and get dressed.
DeleteYou have an excellent taste to organizing your toddlers’ closets. What we love about this is the spacious aspect plus the little reading nook you did. Thanks for letting us know of your event.
DeleteThis is a big problem in my house too and i only have 2 kids. I cant wait till they wake-up and i can clean there very stuffed and cant close dressers. i think my number will be 4 i do do laundry every other day so we should not run out. I think your idea of storing it for a few weeks will be a good idea too. I will defently blog about my system and give you credit for the idea. Thanks a bunch. Happy organizing
ReplyDeleteWhile choosing your kids closet, it is very important to keep in mind that you have to think small while choosing closet. With this, we mean that you should choose a closet compared with drawers, storage bins, storage for clothes, locker and shelves are small, because this will help your kids a lot in finding and putting in their belongings easily without creating a mess.
ReplyDeleteI love the I heart organizing one, cute. And storage in space love it, boys love too read as well so a nook would be cool
