  1. I’m a bit confused about the difference between a wrap and a ring sling.

Could you explain which one might be better for a newborn and why?

    1. Oh, mama, I know the struggle!

As I mentioned above, wraps are like a warm, snuggly hug—perfect for those early days when baby just wants to be close. They mold to your body, give amazing support, and are so good for skin-to-skin.

Ring slings? Total lifesavers when you need something quick. Pop baby in, adjust the ring, and you’re good to go. Plus, they make on-the-go nursing a breeze.

Which one’s better? Honestly, it depends on your day, your mood, and your baby. Some days, you want that deep, cozy wrap snuggle. Other days, you need the grab-and-go ease of a sling. Either way, baby’s right where they belong—close to your heart. ❤️

  2. Is it safe to use a baby carrier for a premature baby? Are there specific carriers designed for preemies?

    1. Babywearing can be safe, but it’s all about the right fit.

Check with your pediatrician first, then look for a wrap or ring sling—something soft, snug, and supportive. The goal? A cozy, womb-like feel that keeps baby secure and breathing easy. Some carriers even have preemie inserts for extra support and cushioning. I’ve mentioned them above as well.

I’ve already covered a bit more about baby carrier safety for preemies in my other article HERE.

  3. Hello Kelleigh! Thank for such an informative article.

My baby has some special needs that require extra support. Are there carriers designed to accommodate these needs?

    1. Hey there, mama! I’m so glad this helped. When it comes to babies with special needs, the right carrier can make a huge difference in comfort & support.

Look for carriers with extra features: like adjustable headrests, padded waistbands, and ergonomic designs. Hip-healthy carriers are a great choice for proper joint development, and some even have inserts for extra support.

      You’re doing a fantastic job! ❤️
